Oh hey, it’s been a while!

How the bloody hell have you been?

The last few months have been busy, to say the least.

We were supposed to move into a new place at the end of May, and due to delays, we’ve moved three times and we’re still not ‘home’ yet. We’re settled now for the next 9 months or so, which I’m grateful for – packing up and moving every month was dizzying and stressful.

I’m not a fatalist by any means, but we’ve ended up in a part of Fife we didn’t expect to like, and we’ve been able to pivot our plans so we can stay here permanently. Things finally feel like they’ve clicked into place over the last couple of weeks after months of uncertainty.

Oh, and during our moving preparations, I decided it would also be great fun to add to the pressure by starting a new job.
I’m an ‘all in’ or ‘all out’ kind of person when it comes to stress.

What else has gone on?
When you reduce 4 months to a couple of short paragraphs, it really puts into perspective just how much the ongoing pandemic has taken a toll.
Anyway.
Ripley turned one. I played Disco Elysium and I can’t stop thinking about replaying it. My best friend has a kid now. Swimming pools are open again, and I even muster up the energy to go sometimes. Vegan croissants are readily available now. We’ve started watching AEW.

I’m sure there’s much more, but this near-stream-of-consciousness absolutely must stop sometime. So for now – goodnight and goodbye, and hopefully I’ll be around more often now things are settling down!
